Team Aruba's Open House

After months of preparation, 
nally on April 16th, 2008, the official Grand Opening of the US Home-base of TEAM ARUBA took place in Union, South Carolina.
Invitations were sent out to family, friends and racing teams throughout the USA, Aruba, Puerto Rico and Curacao. The city of Union and TEAM ARUBA had prepared every detail for this Grand Opening. From 11:00am guests from all over began arriving at 2334 Whitmire Blvd in Union, South Carolina to be a part of the all-day affair. During the official ceremony, many prominent figures, not only of the City of Union and State of South Carolina, but also of the Drag racing world and friends in general, gave speeches.
The 11.000 square foot building offers TEAM ARUBA ample space for repairs and revisions of their racecar. In the adjacent maintenance area the cars are thoroughly inspected after each race for possible damages and immediately repaired if necessary. The remaining areas of the shop consist of one large storeroom, front offices and restrooms and one large machine and repair shop.
TEAM ARUBA sincerely hopes that many other drag race teams will make use of the opportunities the City of Union, South Carolina has to offer. Union is centrally located with access to main highways, reasonably priced real estate, mild weather, a soon-to-open state of the art ¼ mile drag strip but most importantly: wonderful people!
